Needle roller bearing combined with thrust ball bearings

These bearing have a thrust ball bearing in the thrust portion and come in two dimension series. The non-separable typy has a thin steel-plate retaining shield fixed to the groove part of the outside surface of the thrust-side outer ring flange. Its shield is effectivein preventing srease leakages and dirt and dust penteration because a labyrinth sealing performance is formed between the thrust washer and retaining shield. This type is identified by suffix 'Z' after the bearing number. For those without an inner ring, the dimensional tolerance of the inscribed circle diameter dr is F6 tolerance, and as is shown in Article 8.1 (Raceway surface) of by combining hardened and ground shaft with the bearing, the desired radial clearance can be attained.

Needle roller bearing combined with thrust roller bearings
These bearing have an IKO THRUST ROLLER BEARING in the thrust portion, and come in two dimension series. The thrusr load rating is higher than that of bearing with thrust ball bearing and the deformation of the roller contacting surface is also smaller when loaded. Furthermore, the thrust load-receiving portion is finished to a high degree of mounted on vertical or horizontal shafts. As bearing with thrust ball bearings, there are types with ratining shields and types with inner ring

Accuracy
The dimensional and rotating accuracy of all IKO NEEDLE ROLLER BEARING COMBINED WITH THRUST BEARINGS, with the exception of the dimensional tolerance shown in table 2, is manufactured to JIS standards.

Rating life
As these bearing take radial load on the caged needle roller bearing and thrust load on the thrust bearing, the life for each must be calculated sperarately as shown

Mounting
Mounting samples of IKO NEEDLE ROLLER BEARING COMBINED WITH THRUST BEARINGS are given below. When applying pre-load, do not tightenthe thrust washer directly with a nut, but use a spring, as shown.
